Terms of Use

You may use Dictantor on supported iOS, watchOS, and macOS devices for personal and professional purposes in accordance with applicable laws.

You are responsible for any recordings you create, complying with local laws regarding audio recording, and obtaining any required consent, regardless of which device you use to record.

When recording meetings or system audio on Mac, you are responsible for informing participants and obtaining consent where required.

The Apple Watch app is a companion to Dictantor on iPhone and requires a paired iPhone to import and process recordings.

Transfer may be delayed while the iPhone is unavailable. Pending recordings remain on the Apple Watch until transfer can resume.

Dictantor for Mac can record microphone and system audio, transcribe recordings locally, and make supported library content available on your iPhone through iCloud.

Mac features require the permissions shown by macOS. If microphone, system audio, calendar, or notification access is denied, the related features may be unavailable.

Dictantor uses Apple’s iCloud Documents service to synchronize supported recordings, transcripts, metadata, changes, and deletions between your iPhone and Mac without a Dictantor account or Dictantor-operated backend.

iCloud sync requires compatible devices signed in to the same Apple Account with iCloud Drive enabled. Synchronization may be delayed or unavailable because of network conditions, device state, available iCloud storage, settings, or Apple service availability.

You are responsible for maintaining access to your Apple Account and sufficient iCloud storage. Your use of iCloud is also subject to Apple’s applicable terms and policies.

You retain full ownership of your recordings, transcripts, summaries, and any other content you create using Dictantor.

We strive to keep Dictantor reliable, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability or that the app will always operate without errors.

From time to time we may release updates that improve functionality, fix bugs, or introduce new features.

Some features may require newer versions of iOS, watchOS, or macOS, a paired iPhone, iCloud, or compatible Apple devices.

Dictantor is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dictantor and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of the application.

The Dictantor application, its design, branding, and software are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer the application except where permitted by law.

You may stop using Dictantor at any time by deleting the application from your devices.

Removing Dictantor from one device does not necessarily delete content already synchronized to iCloud or stored on another device.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated versions will be published on this page.
